I am very excited to share that Coding in the class has been launched this week. You will be learning to apply your computational thinking skills through code and design a game. All you need to bring with you is an open mind, a headset and a positive attitude :)
LANGUAGE/SOCIAL STUDIES: as partners, students will select a local issue that concerns them, begin research and plan a Public Service Announcement to share in our class community.
NOTE: Does your PSA convince the viewer to make a change locally? (peer feedback after first draft of iMovie)
DRAMA:
- Shadow Performances: This week each student will brainstorm 2 potential story line ideas for a 3 minute performance; then, as a team narrow down to their top ideas with a short synopsis of the story in Google Docs
- Create shadow images along the wall using your body (movement or tableau) to convey a message.
- SOON: co-writing scripts for Shadow Performances (Google Classroom)
- Note: performances will be held throughout the day on October 31st in our classroom. Parents are welcome to join us while classes visit (volunteers will be needed too).
