In the upcoming weeks students will be invited to my class account (using generic information) launching into CSFirst Google and Scratch to begin our Coding learning that will lead later in the year, programming MicroBits, MakeyMakey devices, EV3 robotics and more!
Also, we are fortunate to have a partnership with Royal Ontario Museum ROM Learning, and a guest joining us to launch our Minecraft program (using generic information, ROM server) digging deeper into learning about Rock & Minerals.
ePortfolio Entry: using Google Sites students are to reflect on their learning, 2-3 entries per week, suggestions shared in spreadsheet will grow as the year goes on
MATH: Jo Boaler's Inspirational Days of Mathematics
The ARTS: line drawing textures and more textures.
POETRY: we have started to write poetry focussing on descriptive words:
- create a list of descriptive words to describe an object of choice for a concrete poem that will be illustrated using ink on paper and a digital design
